Shih-Wei Cheng and his team utilized a combination of design tools including Illustrator, InVision, Photoshop, and Sketch to bring Wonder to life. The result is a visually stunning and highly functional digital product, optimized for iOS devices to provide the best possible user experience.

Wonder's main functions include the ability to add and manage trips, create a compelling profile, and search for the perfect travel companions. The app also features a chatroom, allowing users to communicate with potential travel partners and plan their adventures together.

The development of Wonder took place in Seattle from August 2018 to December 2018. Throughout the design process, Shih-Wei Cheng conducted extensive research, interviewing solo travelers to understand their frustrations and expectations. This research informed the creation of personas and problem statements, leading to the development of features that address the specific needs of travelers seeking companionship.

One of the main challenges faced during the design process was finding individuals who had traveled solo and gathering insights from their experiences. However, through perseverance and dedication, Shih-Wei Cheng was able to overcome this obstacle and create a truly user-friendly and impactful app.

Wonder has received widespread acclaim and recognition for its innovative approach to connecting travelers. In 2019, it was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications, and Software Design category. This award recognizes Wonder as a well-designed, practical, and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements.
